SO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Stage One
The first step is to make the Stage One payment of €45*. They you will be directed to fill in the application form via our sponsorship partners IENA. This should take no more than 60 minutes. Remember the more detail the better!
You’ll then be ready for interview! Once you have completed your interview, your interviewer will write up your interview notes and attach them to your application.
* Please note, that Stage One fee is refundable if you are not accepted onto the program after interview.

Stage Two
In the next step you will then be asked to make the Stage Two payment of €80.
You will then need to make sure you have included:
Two references (we will send them a quick reference form to complete)
Complete Garda Vetting (completed independently or via Equipeople) and Vetting Cert
uploaded to your application
Create and upload your application video (No more than 3 mins, show your
personality and skills, Save it as AmeriCamp 2020). You will need to upload it onto
YouTube first.
Once all of this has been done, your application will then circulate to over 600 Camp Directors. When a Camp likes the look of your application you will be put on what is called ‘review’. You may be asked to have a Skype or Phone call with the Camp Director, or you may get ‘#plACed’ straight away!
You will be invited to book onto one of our Famous Camp Fairs, where you can meet and talk to many Camp Directors. A series of dates have been pencilled on the AmeriCamp calendar. Applicants will be presented with an amazing opportunity to get #plACed at one of the leading Camps in the USA on the same day!
Stage Three
Upon placement at a Camp, you will be asked to make the final Stage Three payment of €214. This must be paid within 14 days of you confirming your placement as your Stage Three payment not only secures your placement but also confirms sponsorship of your visa and confirms your 90-day medical insurance.
Then, it’s time to attend orientation, organise your visa, obtain a medical cert and book your flights! The team will help you with all of this.
€144 + €45 US Visa; The fee for your US visa is paid directly to the US embassy when you book your appointment. A €45 visa handling fee will be applied to your account – once this is paid your DS2019 will be released to you. You are required to attend the embassy in person and are responsible for your travel down to the embassy on your interview day.
€0-€60 Medical To do AmeriCamp you will need a medical check from your GP. This will include a list of vaccinations and immunisations.
€350-€500 Flights –We will help you with the booking of your flights and provide you with great deals!
