AmeriCamp provides a number of Pre-Departure Orientation meetings to give a comprehensive guide to the J1 visa program rules and life in the United States. Attendance is mandatory as US government regulations require that you attend an orientation. You also get the chance to meet your fellow Camp counsellors, It is nice to see a familiar face at the airport! Orientation is the best time to have any and all your questions answered.
